Bio

Biography

From a very young age I started a personal research path driven by the inner need for knowledge and expression.
I obtained my artistic diploma and attended the Academy of Fine Arts for two years.
I meet the practice of Yoga Evolutivo and Normodinamica, a theoretical-practical method of working through the body with the individual and his relations, which deeply marks the basis of my research.
In the following years, I deepened the study of oriental bodily and artistic practices including yoga, the art of origami and in particular the martial art with the use of the sword. At the same time I turned my research towards disciplines that look at the human being in its entirety and I obtained three-year degrees in neuropsychomotricity therapy and then in psychology. I also conclude my training in craniosacral biodynamics, a practice whose holistic principles I apply in many areas.
I dedicate myself more and more continuously to meditative practice.
2012 is a year of important transformation and I resume drawing following the intuition of creating symbolic images related to oriental art.
In 2015 I attend the first workshop and start drawing and painting Thangka. At the same time I approach the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.
I finally find a connection between inner research and art and since then I dedicate myself with passion and constancy to the study of the creative process and this beautiful art.
For me painting has more to do with practice, it is a meditation, a tool through which I become familiar with myself, I am in touch with the heart and connected to something wider.

“It is a joy to be in contact with color and the power of these images that I hope will touch someone’s heart.”

My path in Tibetan Buddhist Art

I attend my first Thangka workshop with Carmen Mensink in 2015.
From that first experience I started drawing and painting continuously.
In 2016 I meet the Tibetan artist Kalsang Dawa.
I start a real training with him, which allows me to search and understand some fundamental concepts and the attitude with which to paint Thangka. The practice opens me to a constant reflection on how to relate with the work in progress. Kalsang, after a long study on drawing, introduces me to painting, to the preparation and use of minerals and natural pigments for painting.
In 2019 I meet the artist and teacher Andy Weber with whom I continue to constantly refine the artistic and technical practice connected to my inner research.
Through his teaching, Andy gradually guides me through the complexity of the work and gives me directions to deepen both the creative process and the deep symbolic meaning of these images.
I recognize that I am part and partaker of a tradition that comes from afar, handed down over time, like a drop in a great river.
Without the precious indications and the splendid work of my masters many things would not be possible.
Others are the seeds of my dedication and passion!
