BETWEEN MEDITATION AND TRADITION
I dedicate myself with passion and constancy to the study of the creative process of this beautiful art. For me painting has more to do with a practice, it is a meditation, a tool through which I become familiar with myself, I am in touch with the heart and connected to something wider.
THE POWER OF SYMBOLS AND COLORS
The Eight Precious Symbols in Buddhism is a set of symbols used here to wish a good omen to all who meet.
THE FLAG OF VICTORY

symbol of the victory of knowledge over ignorance and obstacles

THE VASE OF RICH

its opening closed with a large jewel, a symbol of spiritual realization, longevity and prosperity

THE SHELL

the sound of the shell, like the Dharma, spreads and reaches all directions

THE PARASOLE

as protection of all beings from adverse forces and suffering, symbol of Dharma activity

THE COUPLE OF GOLDEN FISH

the fish free to move in the water, a symbol of being free to acquire awareness of the ultimate nature

THE LOTUS FLOWER

for its ability to bloom in muddy waters, indicates the original purity, particularly the spiritual one

INFINITE KNODE

explanatory of the interdependence of all phenomena. It has neither beginning nor end, as well as consciousness and wisdom

THE WHEEL OF DHARMA

for its form, symbol of Buddhist teaching in its totality leading to liberation

To have the energy of a Thangka in your space as well.

Making a Thangka requires dedication, perseverance, time. This is a technical time, of course, but there is also another time. When I work I am in relation to the painting I am doing and sometimes this ``other time`` is just sitting in front of the Thangka... and contemplate it.
