The divine feminine in tibetan buddhist art

The first of three appointments during which we encounter three powerful female images

November 4, 5 and 6

With Elisa Macci

C/o the Cenresig Study Center in Bologna, affiliated with UBI and FPMT

Through drawing some of the different manifestations of the divine feminine we discover their symbolic meaning and get in touch with the different energetic qualities that emanate and are present in each of us, man and woman.

The first meeting is dedicated to WHITE TARA.

Tara is the Mother of all Buddhas, as White Tara in her compassionate quality.

In the pictorial practice of Buddhist art, it is very important to know and study the proportions of the deity that are based on a geometry, which we could call sacred. In this weekend, therefore, we will orient ourselves to know and especially draw white Tara, from the face, to the body, to the robes.

To enter into a relationship, through drawing, with the image we are creating can generate a state of stillness and deep concentration. and it also means becoming familiar with one’s approach to the creative process and entering into a more authentic relationship with oneself. The practice of drawing increases the ability to visualize the image.

The experience is open to everyone, both those approaching drawing for the first time and those who have experience or have already practiced this art form.
