Wheel of life

The Wheel of Life or Bhavachkra is an image that represents and explains some fundamental concepts of Buddhism.

In the center we find a wheel, the wheel of cyclic existence depicting Samsara. In the middle of it are depicted the three poisons, followed by the intermediate state, the six realms and the twelve rings of conditional coproduction. The Lord of Death, Yama, grasps the wheel and represents impermanence. Outside, on the upper right is the Buddha, freed from Samsara pointing to the moon representing the path, the way out of suffering and out of the Wheel of Samsara.
