Dorje Chang Yab Yum

Vajradhara, in Tibetan Dorje Chang, is blue and here represented in a particular emanation with his wife. In her right hand she holds a vajra and in her left hand a bell.
The term Yab-Yum indicates a male deity in union with his female counterpart.
These two polarities, masculine and feminine, are always present in each of us and need integration, as do all other polarities.
In this form they also represent the necessary union of two qualities: compassionate method and wisdom.
By method one can understand the practice and motivation to practice that wants to be turned compassionately for the benefit of all beings.
Wisdom can be understood as the vision of reality, seeing things as they really are, without projections.
